You see my little sister and our neighbor were fishing down at the dock. And the walked down to see this boat that was sinking into lake. And when they got to the boat, they both had yelled me name. And when I got to them, they had showed me a mother duck laying on her duck eggs. And i had told them that they do not need to be by the boat or near the mother duck. Of coarse they didn’t listen to me. But they came back to the golf cart and they got three cups that were empty. And the walked back to the boat, and they had picked up their huge fishing net. They scared away the mother duck with the fishing net. Just so that they can get to the duck eggs. When I had saw the mother duck fly away from the boat I got off the golf cart, and I walked to the boat. But before I had even got to the boat. They had already had all eight duck eggs in the cups.
And now I don’t even know if they duck eggs are still alive. Because they had picked them by hand.
But when we got home they took the eggs into my sisters room. And now they have two lamps on and they are still in the cups but they are underneath the lamps. why they didn’t take them out of the cup is cause we have a dog.
They wouldn’t have killed the unhatched ducks just by handling them. (Unless they were juggling the eggs or playing catch with them.) But honestly, they cant say cold for very long. They need CONSTANT care. And sadly, if they were unattended for more then 20 – 30 minutes without warmth then they’re probably gone.
