Alright, Ill try to keep this brief. I was bringing my friend into my house and we decided to go out to the pool in the back. As we went down the steps, the dog followed us, then left and started sniffing somthing on a table. We went to look at what we thought was a stick. SUPRISE! There is a severed cat leg sitting on my table! The bone was sticking out and the leg looked torn and ripped. Believe me, it was real, I would know more than anyone else. My mother happened to step out at that moment, and went into a total panic… A little while later, we turned it into our neighboorhood security (FYI, I live in a gated neighboorhood). No cats were missing as far as they know. Our house is somewhat near a golf coarse, and the area is surrounded by a wooden fence. My dog couldn’t hurt a butterfly, so what the hell happened?
We aren't by the golf coarse, just in the general vicinity. You know, my neighbors tald me that there may be coyotes on the golf course.
Yeah, my vote is yard maintenance machines too.
(although, that other person was a little rude, LOL!)
Or it was left there by another animal. Either your dog or another cat. All meat is fair game to cats. Cannibalism means nothing to them.

My goodness, what a disturbing discovery! I’m so sorry to hear about that. It may be that in a tussle between two animals, a leg went flying.
Was the blood still wet? Did you look around to see if you could find the leg’s owner hidden anywhere?

The lawnmower at the golf course gobbled up a cat and spit it over the fence into your yard. Happens at our place at least once a month.

Another fine example of chldren being left unattended on the Internet.
Do you have any wooded areas near by. Maybe some larger animal brought it by.
By your description it seems as if an animal left part of his meal. I would hate to think that someone left it there.
I live in a neighbor hood that is surrounded by conservation land, and we would have animals leave various items in the yard.
I hope you don’t end up finding the rest of the animal.

HAH! I know this question is fake because stray cats aren’t allowed in gated communites. Only indoor declawed collared Fancy Feast eatin’ Persians, Siameses, Russian Blues, and Bengals. All other applicants please be on notice: “The Community is Full.”
And if your dog isn’t a “Maltipoo”, a “Puggle”, a “Goldendoodle”, or a “Chiweenie”, he isn’t allowed there either.
Pah-leeeze!
